2026 December 15th ALS Licence Paed ALS 1 Day Recert - NNSWLHD Lismore

Course Overview:

ACCCN offers a 1 day theoretical and practical Paediatric Advanced Life Support recertification program for healthcare professionals who have recent Paediatric ALS certification. Based on the current ANZCOR guidelines. The morning is a review only of ALS content with the opportunity to apply those concepts in practice scenarios. The theoretical and practical assessment for re-certification will follow in the afternoon.

Topics include:

• Priorities of care
• Airway management and electrical therapy skill stations
• Paediatric Advanced Life Support algorithm and principles 
• Practice scenarios in team roles
• Basic Life Support algorithm and principles

A total of 10 CPD hours are assigned to this program (based on 6 hours program contact and 4 hours self-directed learning)

Pre-course requirements:

Attendees must have a recent Paediatric ALS certification, preferably within 12 months.
Attendees can test their knowledge by completing the electronic pre-test quiz prior to the day. Details on how to access the ALS Manual and pre-test quiz will be emailed upon registration.
