At registration you will be asked to produce evidence of your current ALS certification to assure that recertification is appropriate.

Based on the latest Australian Resuscitation Council Statements on Basic and Advanced Life Support and current ANZCOR guidelines, the morning is a review of Paediatric ALS content with the opportunity to apply those concepts in practice scenarios. The theoretical and practical assessment for recertification will follow in the afternoon.

Registration includes a program manual and e-learning material.

Morning overview of the following topics will include:

  • Priorities of care
  • Paediatric Basic Life Support algorithm and principles
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support algorithm and principles
  • Airway management and electrical therapy skill stations
  • Practice scenarios in team roles

Nursing staff can claim up to 10 CPD hours (including six hours program content and four hours self-directed learning).
