NSW Instructor 2 Day Certification 28 & 29 September 2026 - Canberra Hospital

Teach with Confidence. Lead the Standard.

Great resuscitation outcomes don't just depend on clinicians who can perform ALS - they depend on educators who can teach it well. This two-day Instructor Certification program is designed for registered nurses, and healthcare professionals who already hold ALS certification and are ready to develop and strengthen their skills as resuscitation educators.

Whether you're already teaching ALS in your workplace or preparing to step into that role, this course gives you the pedagogical tools, simulation expertise, and peer connections to do it with confidence and credibility.

What to Expect

Two intensive days of instructor skill development, combining content delivery practice, simulation design, and assessment methodology - with plenty of opportunity to learn alongside peers facing the same challenges in their own clinical environments.

Participants consistently describe this course as one of the most valuable professional development experiences they've had - not just for the skills, but for the network.

Program content includes:

  • Content delivery techniques
  • Simulation scenario development and implementation
  • Debriefing as a learning tool
  • Conducting ALS assessments
  • Providing effective feedback
  • ALS recertification (Adult or Paediatric, based on current ANZCOR guidelines)
  • Connection with resuscitation educators from across the country

Included with registration:

  • Instructor reference manual (including self-directed exercises and practical tips)
  • Adult or Paediatric ALS manual
  • Access to pre-course quiz
  • All materials available via your MyACCCN account on receipt of paid registration

On successful completion, you will be listed on the ACCCN National ALS Database - the recognised register of certified ALS Instructors in Australia.
