WA Paediatric ALS 1 Day Recertification 7 November 2026 - Aeromedical Welshpool

The Standard Your Smallest Patients Deserve.

Paediatric Advanced Life Support skills decay without practice and in a paediatric emergency, there's no margin for uncertainty. This one-day recertification course is designed for registered nurses and healthcare professionals working in critical care, acute, and paediatric settings who hold a current Paediatric ALS certification. It gives you the structured review, hands-on scenarios, and formal assessment you need to stay confident, competent, and current.

Developed in line with the latest Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) statements and ANZCOR guidelines, this course combines a focused review of Paediatric ALS content with the opportunity to apply those concepts in practice scenarios - delivering recertification in Paediatric Advanced Life Support.

What to Expect

Morning: Review & Practice The day begins with a focused review of core Paediatric ALS content, moving quickly from theory into practice. You'll work through skill stations and team-based scenarios that reflect the real pressures of a paediatric resuscitation event.

Topics covered include:

  • Priorities of care
  • Paediatric Basic Life Support algorithm and principles
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support algorithm and principles
  • Airway management and electrical therapy skill stations
  • Practice scenarios in team roles

Afternoon: Assessment The formal theoretical and practical recertification assessment follows in the afternoon. You'll be assessed at the level of an effective ALS Team Leader - the standard expected of critical care nurses in real clinical environments.

Included with registration:

  • Digital program manual
  • Access to e-learning material and pre-course quiz

CPD Hours

  • Nursing staff: Up to 10 CPD hours (6 hours program contact + 4 hours self-directed learning)
