ACCCN invites you to their 'Stayin Alive: Deteriorating Patient' seminar being held on Friday, 26th February 2027, at the University of Canberra. 

Recognising and responding to patient deterioration is a core part of critical care nursing, but some of the most valuable learning happens when there is time to step away from the demands of a busy shift, hear different perspectives and work through clinical challenges together. 

'Stayin' Alive: Deteriorating Patient' is an extended education day for critical care nurses looking to strengthen their knowledge, practical skills and confidence in managing the deteriorating patient. 

Bringing together multi-disciplinary presenters from across the ACT and NSW, the seminar will explore patient deterioration from a range of clinical perspectives. Through a mix of formal presentations and practical, interactive workshops, delegates will have opportunities to build skills they can apply at the bedside and consider how different members of the healthcare team contribute to recognising, escalating and responding to deterioration. 

Held at the University of Canberra, the day also offers something that can be difficult to find during everyday clinical practice: time to connect. With a fully catered program, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with nurses, clinicians and colleagues from across the region.
