Nurses’ clinical decision making on pressure injury prevention in ICU settings

Australian Catholic University (ACU) researchers are looking for volunteers for a research study that seeks to understand nurses’ clinical decision-making when implementing pressure injury prevention activities for patients at risk of developing a pressure injury in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you will need to meet the following criteria:
• You must be a Registered Nurse who is currently working in ICU
• You must have worked in an ICU setting for 5 at least years or more
You will not be able to take part if you have worked in an ICU setting for less than 5 years, are unable to communicate in English, or if you are not currently working in an ICU setting.

If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete the following:
• An interview, conducted online via MS Teams, will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
• A follow-up Focus Group will be conducted online via MS Teams and will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.

If you choose to participate in the Interview and Focus Group associated with this research study you will receive a gift voucher as a token of appreciation for your participation and time. This gift voucher will be issued after the focus group has been completed.
