Nurses working in adult, paediatric or neonatal Intensive Care Units, High Dependency Units, Coronary Care Units, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories or Perioperative departments (Anaesthetics, PACU, Scrub/Scout) are invited to complete an anonymous online survey.
The 15-20 minute survey is designed to explore the confidence of nurse preceptors in the critical care context and factors contributing to perceived confidence.
In this study, the term ‘preceptor’ refers to nurses who support (formally or informally) new staff, students, graduates or specialty practice program participants. This includes nurses who undertake preceptorship, buddy nursing, bedside teaching or supervision duties.
Your participation will provide valuable insights that may
– Contribute to the development of preceptorship guidelines, recommendations or frameworks
– Inform workplaces on how best to support and equip confident preceptors
– Improve patient care, promote job satisfaction and employee retention in critical care settings
Thank you for your support!
