Eligibility
- The applicant is a current financial member of ACCCN and has been for at least the past 12 months;
- The continuing educational activity is relevant to critical care nursing;
- The applicant must submit a completed online application form;
- Members cannot receive more than one grant per two-year period (calendar year);
- Only one application will be accepted per member each calendar year;
- Only the member applying for the grant can receive the funding; and
- Retrospective funding will not be considered – that is, applications must be received by the closing date for a professional development activity that occurs in the future. Funding may be allocated as a reimbursement, as we cannot guarantee to process applications in time to meet early bird registration deadlines. It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure they register and pay according to event deadlines.
Review & Notification
- The State Committee will decide whether to allocate the amount requested by the applicant, part thereof, or not to award an allocation; and
- The funding decisions made by the State Committee are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Notification of Application Outcome
- All applicant(s) will be notified of the outcome of their application via email.
Grant Recipient Obligations and Responsibilities
- Grant recipient(s) must provide evidence of registration and relevant receipts associated with attending the event before payment can be made;
- Following attendance at the nominated professional development activity, successful grant recipient(s) will be required to submit a short report to ACCCN describing the activity outcomes (approx. 200 words). This reports must be received by the ACCCN within 30 days of attending the activity; and
- Names of successful applicants and the short report may be published in the ACCCN Newsletter, website and social media channels.
